Definitely the way to go if you're going to do much printing. As far as quality of print goes, I suppose that will vary from printer to printer, but I am using these inks in the Photosmart B8550 13x19 printer and I am satisfied with the output. Colors are good. The contrast could be a little better, especially in the depth of the blacks. It's acceptable but not great. These inks are best used on the HP Advanced Photo paper. They dry almost instantly and the prints are very durable and smudge resistant. I've printed on a variety of other papers too, and the color can be a little different (but still ok if you're not nit picky).
